Dr. Leslyn H Spaulding, PT, DPT
Founder and Practicing Owner of Spaulding Physical Therapy Wellness Center
Dr. Spaulding graduated in 1993 from the University of Kentucky with a BHS in Physical Therapy. She immediately began her career in the hospital setting, seeing patients in both acute and outpatient settings. Over the course of her career, she added experience in practice and administrative roles providing home health care, skilled nursing, industrial services, aquatics, and private practice. In December of 2011, she earned a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Utica College. With a goal of providing a more personal, whole body approach to physical therapy, she opened the doors to Spaulding Physical Therapy in October of 2012. Since then, she has trained extensively with John F Barnes Myofascial Release, achieving Expert level status in 2016. Now in her 28th year of physical therapy practice, she has provided physical therapy for patients from 6 months old to 100 years young. She currently serves as clinical instructor for Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant programs in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She has also served as volunteer faculty for the Salvation Army free clinic through the University of Kentucky, a member of the 2006 Leadership Montgomery class, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel since 2006, and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1993.
A native Kentuckian, Dr Spaulding grew up in rural Carter County. With a love for the people and lifestyle of our great Commonwealth she returned to Kentucky in 1998 and has called Mount Sterling “home” since 2004.
