What is Health & Wellness Coaching?

Health & Wellness Coaching is a process that helps clients make needed lifestyle changes that are contributing to poor health and stress.  Health coaches use goal setting and problem solving to help clients reach self determined goals.  These professionals are trained  to help clients overcome barriers to individual success, gain insights to their behavior, and increase motivation.  Additionally, they provide their clients with accountability, education, resources and support. 

Health Coaches are trained to treat the whole person knowing that being healthy is more than just eating a healthy diet and exercising.  They understand that overall health is dependent on other wellness areas such as Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Occupational, Environmental, Social, Financial as well as Physical.  As a result, they focus on supportive relationships,  work/life balance, decreasing stress, life transitions, coping with emotions, and more depending on the client’s needs. 

Meet Amber Fraley, Owner of Positively Well Coaching,  who provides Health & Wellness Coaching at Spaulding Physical Therapy & Wellness Center.

Amber is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Certified Fitness Instructor.   She completed training through the Wellcoaches organization, one of the most respected organizations in the field and the only Health & Wellness Coaching program endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).  She pulls from nearly two decades of experience in human services and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology to drive her success in helping people achieve their goals.  

 

Amber’s passion for helping others improve their lives is fueled by her own personal transformation of losing 70 lbs.  Through her own journey, she learned the mind shift needed to make lasting changes. Additionally, she understands the value of a holistic approach through her work in the mental health field.  Amber believes that everyone has the power to improve their health but they all need different tools and support to get there.  She desires to help others discover their unique health and wellness “formula” so they can achieve a thriving life!
